Blind Spot Detection System – Advent ADVBSD30
The Blind Spot Detection System (ADVBSD30) brings factory-level driver assistance to vehicles that didn’t come with it. Radar sensors mount discreetly behind the rear bumper and monitor both sides of your vehicle, extending rearward from the mirrors to approximately 30 feet beyond the bumper. Flush mount LED indicators deliver solid or flashing visual alerts paired with an audible buzzer whenever a vehicle enters the detection zone.
Three Modes of Detection
The ADVBSD30 covers three real-world scenarios. Standard BSD illuminates the LED when a vehicle enters your blind spot and escalates to a flashing alert with buzzer if you activate your turn signal. The overtaking feature alerts you while passing another vehicle so you know when it’s safe to move over. Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) activates automatically in reverse, covering 25 ft to each side to warn of approaching vehicles while backing out of parking spaces or driveways.
Smart Activation, Adjustable Settings
Built-in GPS technology activates the system at speeds above 15 mph to prevent false alerts at low speed. Speed activation is selectable and can be set to trigger any time the ignition is on. Sensor sensitivity is adjustable between standard and short range to reduce false warnings from vehicles in adjacent lanes. The buzzer includes three volume settings: off, low, and high.
